Bonnie Dattilio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A.W. Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax on Oct. 16, 2023.
It is with great sorrow that the Giroux and Dattilio families announce that Bonnie Ann Dattilio passed from this world at home on October 9, 2023 at 10:15 PM after a courageous battle with breast cancer, and has made the passage back to her home with the angels.
Bonnie was born on May 8, 1963 in Burlington, Vermont. She was predeceased by her mother Constance (O'Brien) Dattilio, father Vincent Dattilio, and sister Debbie Dattilio.
With the closing of Brandon Training School in 1993, it was a true Godsend that Bonnie was welcomed into the home and family of Alice and Bob Giroux of Westford in 1992. The Girouxs chose Bonnie to become part of their beautiful blended family, and she became their "sweet little girl". Alice provided Bonnie with the love and exceptional care that enabled her to thrive and beat the odds by surviving to be 60 years old - despite being burdened with Cerebral Palsy, blindness, and several other disabilities.
Bonnie is survived by many brothers and sisters from both families, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. The Dattilio Family would like to thank the Giroux Family, and especially Alice, for taking such great care of Bonnie for over 30 years. We believe Bonnie lived as long as she did because of the love and care from Alice - she is truly an Angel on Earth.
There will be a graveside service at Resurrection Park in South Burlington on Friday October 20 at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in Bonnie's name.
