Bonnie Irene (Westerhold) Dutton, 95, of Higginsville, Missouri formerly of Odessa, MO, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023, at the First Christian Church, 224 W. Dryden St., Odessa, MO, 64076. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church. Interment will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to CWF Scholarship Fund of Odessa.  Memories of Bonnie and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook page. Bonnie was born in Odessa, Missouri on January 6, 1928, to Otto and Leona (Davidson) Westerhold.  She attended Shaw School and graduated in 1945 from Odessa High School.  On September 17, 1948, Bonnie was united in marriage to James “Jim” Lewis Dutton.  On November 8, 2012, he preceded her in death.  Bonnie was a homemaker taking care of her home and children, later in life she went to work at Warrensburg Public Schools in the cafeteria.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bonnie enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and puzzles.    

 

Bonnie is survived by two children; Jimmie Dutton of Warrensburg, MO and Sandra McAfee and husband Ken of Orrick, MO; one granddaughter, Kenda Ransom and husband Steve of Concord, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Dane Ransom and Sophia Ransom; a sister-in-law, Hazel Westerhold of Odessa, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Barker and Effie McFerrin; and three brothers, Lloyd Westerhold, Russell Westerhold, and Henry Westerhold.
