Bonnie (Herron) Ervin, age 87, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, on May 4, 1937, to the late George Dewey Herron and Virginia H. (Jennette) Herron. She worked for State Stove/A.O. Smith as a purchasing agent.
She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with the Happy Hackers Golf group and socializing with the Red Hatters. She was an active member of Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church where she was a nursery teacher for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family siblings, children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Herron; husband, Nat Ervin; brothers, Carl, Wendell and Glendon Herron; an infant sister; and sisters, Mary Boyte and Marjorie Noel. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Sexton (Bill) and Gina Suiter (Brad); son, Ralph Ervin (Stephanie Mosley); sisters, Jeannette Young and Carolyn Dwyer (Danny); brother-in-law, Jesse Wayne Boyte; grandchildren, Sean Ervin and Brett (Krista) Ervin, Derek Suiter, Gabe Suiter, Ally Suiter, and Joshua Sexton; and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11am in the Chapel with Brother Shiloh Hackett officiating. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm and Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9am until the hour of service at 11am. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Forsythe, Gabe Suiter, Derek Suiter, Josh Sexton, Kerry Boyte, and Nathan Lane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
