Bonnie Ess 66 of Mokane, Missouri (formerly of Monroe City, Missouri passed away Friday, December 05,2025 at Riverview Nursing Home, Mokane, Missouri.

She was born May 15,1959 in Moberly, Missouri the daughter of Harold Lloyd and Shirley (Robertson) Ess.

Bonnie was baptized into the Methodist faith. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School, Montgomery City, Missouri. She worked for the Sweet Shop Cafe and Peggy Sues Cafe both of Monroe City. Bonnie enjoyed listening to music, word search, reading and being outside. Bonnie loved every year going to the Missouri State Fair. Most of all Bonnie loved going on walks with her friend Eddie and spending time with her family who she loved very much. She loved bright colors and the family has requested for folks attending Bonnie's funeral to wear pink, purple or red.

She is survived by four brothers Tony Ess (Nicki), Columbia, Missouri, Bill Ess (Tammy), Marshal, Missouri, Rob Ess (Jay), South Jordan, Utah, Tom Ess, Mexico. Three sisters Lena Sharp (Dan), Paris, Missouri, Linda McMorris (John), Paris, Missouri, Ann Doke of St. Louis, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, a very special friend Eddie Adamec and foster mother Viola Lehenbauer.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Sunday, December 14,2025 at the Providence Baptist Church, New Bloomfield, Missouri, Pastor James Talley will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials have been suggested to the animal shelter. Funeral arrangements are under the direciton of Garner Funeral Home & Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri.
