Bonnie Jo "Wine" Lansdowne

Bonnie Jo (Wine) Lansdowne, 68, of Spotsylvania, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She poured her heart into everything she touched, whether through her beautiful quilting and sewing, the years she dedicated to raising her children and grandchildren, or the tireless support she gave to her husband by keeping the family business running. In earlier years, she lovingly raised Shelties and remained a lifelong animal rescuer and advocate. Her home was a landing place for many friends, family, and animals alike. She was known for listening without judgment, offering comfort, and opening her doors and her heart to those who needed it most.

She is survived by her husband, Daryl Dean Lansdowne, Sr.; her daughter, Amy Jo Hegadorn (Jerami); her grandchildren, Marie Lynn Lansdowne (Mathew Perkins), Gavin Dean Payne, and Rylie Rose Finney; her siblings, Dawn Marie Wine Gorton (Jason) and their children Kimberly, Alex, Julianna, and Jason, Jr. and Kenneth R. Wine, Jr. and his children, Michael, Keith, and Madeline; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her lifelong friends Doris Taylor, Pamela Steele, and Suzy Deane Sisson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Reid Wine and Phyllis Ann Decatur; her son, Daryl Dean Lansdowne, Jr.; her sister, Linda Stone; and her brother, James Drake.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Covenant Funeral Service in Fredericksburg.
