Bonnie Faye Price was born February 9, 1932 to Andrew Irvin Brooks and Myrtle Corine Breedlove in Navarro County.
Bonnie was a waitress at the famous Nighthawk Cafe in Austin, and later worked as a people greeter at Walmart for 32 years.
Bonnie loved being around her family and spent a lot of time in the kitchen making breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the ones she loved; if you went hungry, that was your fault. She also enjoyed going to church and spoiling all of her grandkids to the fullest extent.
Bonnie is survived by: her son, Michael; daughters Kathy Trench and Jean Ward and husband Wayne; countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; Adene Cumbie, her sister and her brother, Charlie and wife Linda Brooks.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Buford J. Price; grandsons, Buford Charles "Chad" Trench and Clinton Price; her parents, Andrew and Myrtle Brooks; a son-in-law Charlie Trench; sisters Vevie Thomas and Maudene Blackburn; and brothers L.W., Alvin, Ernest, Ervin, Merrill, and Willie George Brooks.
The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice & Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing Center.
Pallbearers are: Aaron Keller, Ricky Ellis, Perry Gregory, Larry Blackburn, Kenneth Brooks & David Brooks.
Visitation will be from 5pm -7pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00am Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
