Bonnie married Allen Self on August 17, 1957, and raised their sons in Bossier City. She retired from Schumpert Medical Center as the Business Manager after 40 years of service. Bonnie, also lovingly known as Mimi was an excellent cook who loved to feed her family. She was always making their favorite foods and desserts and her German Chocolate cake will be greatly missed. She was an avid reader and loved to travel with her husband and her dear friends the Andersons. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City and loved being a part of The Parker Sunday School Class. She was also a member of The Mother’s Club and the Bossier Lioness Club.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Self; sister, Janice Mayes; and brother, Harold Bryan. Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Parker Self and wife, Paula, and Philip Self; grandchildren, Will Self and wife, Hannah, Luke Self, Abby Self, and Bryan Self; great-granddaughter, Charlotte “Charlie” Parker Self; daughter-in-law, Mary Self; sister, Jean Cox; brothers, John Bryan and Skyler Bryan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
