Bonnie L. Smith

Bonnie Smith, 77, of Annapolis, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27th. Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al Smith. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Dawn (Dave) and Kristen (Christopher); her cherished grandchildren, Samuel and Colette; and her partner of four years, Bill Morris. A registered nurse for more than fifty years, Bonnie was known for her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Her passion for helping others was a source of strength and comfort to all who knew her. Bonnie's adventurous spirit led her to explore nearly every continent, enjoying different cultures and creating lasting memories. At home in Annapolis, she was a pillar of the community, lending her time, insight, and leadership to numerous committees and initiatives. Whether on the pickleball court, the golf course, or simply enjoying the company of friends, Bonnie brought energy, laughter, and kindness wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. A memorial gathering will be held at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, on Wednesday, October 1st from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life from 5:00 to 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Nursing Foundation of Maryland (The Nursing Foundation of Maryland) in Bonnie's honor.
