Bonnie Vanderbogart Obituary
SCHENECTADY -
Bonnie J. Vanderbogart, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Marion Kiernozek. Bonnie was the devoted wife to Kirk E. Vanderbogart. They were married for 52 years.
Bonnie worked as a Weightmaster in Albany, N.Y., until her retirement.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She was a passionate crafter and loved the time she spent crafting with her grandchildren. Bonnie was an avid bingo player with her mother and sisters and would play any chance they had.
In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by her children, Gretchen (Fay) Smith and Shaun (Dana) Vanderbogart; grandchildren, Emily Rose Vanderbogart, Tyler Shaun Vanderbogart and Esborne Smith; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her siblings, Tom Kiernozek, Alice Gorman, John Kiernozek, Rita Stone and Kathy Kiernozek.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bonnie's memory to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090.
