In Loving Memory of Bonny Jean Johnson

January 2, 1975 – April 11, 2025

Bonny Jean Johnson, 50, of Austin, Arkansas, passed into the arms of her Savior on Friday, April 11, 2025, alongside her beloved husband, Rusty. Born January 2, 1975, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bonny lived a life marked by deep compassion, unshakable faith, and a heart full of love.

She had a special bond with animals, especially her faithful four-legged companion, Girl. The two were inseparable, and not a day went by without a pup cup stop on their daily adventures. Bonny’s love extended far beyond her pets—she cared deeply for everyone around her and made it her mission to spread kindness wherever she went. A true Arkansas girl at heart, Bonny had a soft spot for Sonic Lemon Ice Waters—but only if the cup was packed to the brim with ice. It’s the little things that made Bonny who she was: joyful, particular, and full of life.

Bonny shared a special relationship with her parents, Michael and Karen Vaught. They weren’t just her parents—they were her best friends, her encouragers, and her safe place. Their bond was built on unconditional love, mutual respect, and a lifetime of shared faith and laughter.

As a mother, Bonny was fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and always in her children’s corner. Hannah and James could always count on her to have their backs—no matter what. She believed in them, prayed for them, and supported them with everything she had. Her love for her children was constant and steady.

Bonny and Rusty shared a deep love not only for each other but for the adventures they took together. Whether they were heading out on a cruise, spending time at the lake, or cheering on the Razorbacks, they made the most of every moment. Above all, Bonny loved the Lord with her whole heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and there is peace in knowing she is now in heaven, rejoicing in eternal glory.

Bonny is survived by her children, Hannah Dyson (husband Tiernan Pierce) and James McIntyre; her loving parents, Michael and Karen Vaught of Beebe, Arkansas; her brother David Eric Dyson (wife Tonya Dyson), her cherished grandparents, David and Jean Dyson of Hot Springs, AR; her father-in-law and his wife, Harold and Pat Johnson. She also leaves behind four other loved pets and many beloved family members, dear friends, work friends at Zella’s Trash Service, and a church family who will miss her deeply.

Bonny’s spirit will be remembered always. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 18th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe, AR 72012. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 19th at 2:00 pm at Freedom Worship Center, 13305 Lawson Road, Little Rock, AR.
