Boonie Dotson Obituary
Boonie Dotson, passed away on December 17, 2025, at TJ Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY. He was born on May 4, 1967, in Grundy, Virginia, and he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
He is survived by his loving companion, Sandy Bennett, and his two sons, T.J. (Alexis) Dotson and Dalton Dotson. Boonie is also remembered by his siblings: Mary (Randy) Arthur, Melissa Dotson, and Larry (Liz) Dotson. A proud grandfather, Boonie leaves behind Kaiya, Kaydence, and Khloe Dotson; Amelia and Jaxton Adkins; as well as a beloved nephew, Myles Luke Dotson. A host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends will also miss Boonie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Myles Lambert Dotson, and his mother, Christine Dotson. Additionally, his brother, Ricky Dotson, and sister-in-law, Kermetta Dotson, as well as a special brother, Mackey Bullock.
Boonie’s visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Lucas & Son Funeral Home located at 2931 US Highway 23 S, Pikeville, KY 41501. His funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, December 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM, also at Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow service on Monday at the Dotson Family Cemetery, located in Phelps.
