CHESTERFIELD

Boyce K. Wray, 97, died on February 27, 2023, in St. Francis Hospital in Va. He was born on December 21, 1925, in Schuyler, Va., the son of Earl K. and Ethel D. Wray.

Boyce graduated from Schuyler High School, class of 1943. He met his future wife, Emma Carolyn Bevis, on a blind date and they married in 1949. He was also a loyal member of the Lion's Club at Lake of the Woods for over 25 years. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors and was an avid hunter, and enjoyed working closely with little league teams in Fairfax County when son Bob was playing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lagoria, Edsel, and Fred, and by sister, Valda. Surviving family members are his children, Joan W. Taylor, Donna W. Stayman, Nancy L. Wray, and Robert K. Wray; and two grandchildren, Alexander Wray-Kerr, and Brittany M. Taylor.
