Boyd Carl Adams of Kaufman, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 10, 2025. Born on January 16, 1948, in Aspermont, Texas, to Elbert and Willie Pearl Adams, Boyd lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication, love, and hard work.
At a young age, Boyd found his lifelong partner and soulmate when he married Deborah on January 24, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. At just 16 and 14 years old, their marriage blossomed into 61 wonderful years together—a true testament to enduring love and partnership.
Boyd devoted over 41 years to the construction industry, traveling across the United States as he built a career grounded in skill and perseverance. Outside of work, he found joy in gardening and woodworking, crafts that reflected his patience and creativity. Boyd’s love for travel allowed him to explore new places and cultures, but nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family and lending a helping hand to those in need.
A kind and generous man, Boyd’s legacy is one of selflessness and unwavering support. He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah Adams; sister Ruby Wilkerson; daughters Kay Carpenter and husband Rick, Pam Flowers and husband Will; sons Don Adams and wife Jackie and Bobby Adams and wife Evelyn; grandchildren Tiffany Carpenter, Heather Taylor and husband Brandon, Dylan Adams, and Jenny Wagoner; and great-grandchildren Brenden Carpenter, Peyton Ragland, Liam Taylor, Hadley Taylor, and Emerson Taylor. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who cherish his memory deeply.
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Willie Pearl Adams, and five brothers: Jimmy, Sammy, Johnnie, Frank, and Delbert Adams.
Family, friends, and all who knew Boyd are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, located at 301 W. Nash St., Terrell, TX 75160. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Christian Center of Mesquite. Boyd will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell, Texas, immediately following the service.
Boyd Carl Adams’s life was marked by love, hard work, and generosity of spirit. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
