Boyd E. Osborne, age 74, of Wilmington, near the Harveysburg Community, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side. Boyd was born October 2, 1950, in Blackwater, Virginia, the son of the late Forest E. and Venice M. (Scalf) Osborne. Boyd was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a prolific welder having spent many years working for the Elano Corporation. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He loved his garage time and spent time in the garage up until his final days. Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Brenda K. (Hall) Osborne, to whom he married July 23, 1990 in Tennessee; daughter Angela (John) Scroggins of Smith Grove, Kentucky; step-children, Walt Coyle of Fairborn, Ohio, Julie (Pat) Hofherr of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Russell (Tess) Coyle of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Scott (Kendra) Coyle of Oregonia, Ohio; siblings, Dennis Osborne of Wilmington, Guy (Sharon) Osborne of Wilmington, Barbara (John) Little of Dayton, Karen (Dennis) Stewart of Wilmington, Bessie Dalton of Wilmington, and Teenie (Danny) Bick of Wilmington; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Boyd is preceded in death by one daughter, Candice Elaine (Osborne) Johnson; grandson Kaden Boyd Johnson; sister Mary Lowman; and two brothers, Stevie Osborne and Carl Osborne. Memorial funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church, 10600 East St Rt 73, Waynesville, Ohio, 45068. Jordan Atkinson will officiate. Members of the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard will present the U.S. Flag in recognition of Boyd's service to our country. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington is assisting the family.
