Bozena Gucwa Obituary
Bozena "Bonnie" Gucwa, 66, of Plainville, beloved wife of Wieslaw Gucwa, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2025 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Strzegom, Poland, daughter of the late Pelagiusz and Leokadia (Frankowska) Cieslak, she was member of Holy Cross Church in New Britain.
Bozena came from Poland in 1987. She was very religious, she truly loved Jesus and trusted in God. She was a devout Catholic and took her faith deeply. She believed everything is in God's hands. She loved to spend time with her loving family. She loved to help people and always was very generous.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her husband Wieslaw; her son, Scott and his wife Justine; her beloved grandchildren, Leo and Lily; her sister, Alicja Gotfryd and her husband Jan and extended family members in the US and Poland. She was predeceased by her first husband Edmund Domownik.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 form 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta Street New Britain, CT 06053. Bonnie was a wonderful neighbor for almost 20 years. She made my family feel welcome and always had a kind word or thoughtful gift. I will pray for her to rest in peace and for peace to be with their family.
