Brad Robert "Bunts" Helminen

Brad "Bunts" Helminen, 46, a resident of High Point, North Carolina passed away at his home after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness on Friday September 16, 2022.
He was born on January 30, 1976 in Hancock to Thomas and Barbara (Heinonen) Helminen.
Brad graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1994. He then attended Lake Superior State University and Northern Michigan University. In 1996 Brad moved to North Carolina and has been a resident there until the time of his passing.
On January 12, 2013 he was united in marriage to Lindsay Morris and they had one daughter together Madelyn Brooke Helminen.
He was employed as an insurance agent at Amerilife Insurance in North Carolina, prior to his passing.
Earlier careers included a salesman for Kirby Vacuum and a concrete finisher for Ace Avant.
Brad was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet.

Siblings: Melanie (Warren) Potts of North Carolina, Marc (Lisa) Helminen of North Carolina, Lisa (Kevin) Rajala of Atlantic Mine, Loretta (Matt) Belhart of Laurium, Marcia (Tyler) DeWeese of Colorado, Sally (Adam) Rowley of Colorado, Jon (Linda) Helminen of Atlantic Mine, Amy Helminen of North Carolina, Greg Helminen of Tennessee, Betsy (Zach) Erkkila of Laurium and Tammy Helminen of North Carolina.
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet with Pastor Mark Halonen to officiate.
Visitation will be held at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery section 75.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
