Brad Henehan Obituary
Louisville - Brad Michael Henehan, 54, of Louisville, KY was born on April 24, 1966 and went peacefully home to our heavenly Father on Friday, April 9, 2021.
Brad was selected as a community hero torch bearer for the 1996 Olympic torch relay for his outstanding contributions he made to others in his community. He had the prestigious honor to participate in the Olympic movement by carrying the flame, the most sacred symbol of the Olympics. Brad graduated from the Monsignor Pitt Academy and was very active in the International Special Olympics as a weightlifter, and played golf, tennis and softball.
We will never forget that sweet smile; he lived his best life riding his bike in rain, snow or the heat of summer, waving to every stranger and winking at the pretty girls.
Brad leaves behind his three sisters to cherish his memory; Lynn Wilkerson and Carole Brutscher (Tony) of Louisville, Kathleen Ratterman (Robert) of Powell, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Aunt Marcia and Uncle Donald Green of Floyds Knobs, IN. Brad was preceded in death by parents Joseph A. Henehan, Jr. and Eileen M. Henehan (Green) and brother, Joseph A. Henehan, III who are all now happily reunited.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank Cedar Lake Lodge for the exceptional care given to Brad and all his caregivers, especially Cora Mae Hancock.
Memorial contributions may be made in Brad's honor to Cedar Lake Lodge, 3301 Jericho Road, La Grange, KY 40031.
