Alan Brad Joiner, known affectionately as Brad, beloved husband to Sonja, passed away on February 9, 2024, in Emory, Texas. Born on August 22, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas to Alvin Dale Joiner and Veda Jeanelle Tanner Joiner, Brad's life was characterized by his unwavering faith and his zest for laughter.

Brad's contagious enthusiasm and love for the Lord radiated from him wherever he went. His devotion to his faith was evident in everything he did. He always placed the Lord at the center of his life and held a deep reverence for spiritual matters. Brad greeted each day with an unwavering devotion to his faith, finding solace and guidance within the pages of his treasured Bible.

A man with an infectious sense of humor, Brad had an unrivaled ability to brighten any room he entered. His cheerful expression of life was impossible to ignore as he shared jokes and filled those around him with laughter. His boisterous laughter would fill the air, leaving behind a trail of joy that lingered long after the joke had faded away.

One could never doubt the sincerity and authenticity that defined Brad's character. He embodied honesty and genuine kindness in all his interactions. Whether lending an empathetic ear or extending a helping hand, Brad's unwavering support made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. He possessed an innate ability to understand others' needs and selflessly gave everything he could to help them.

Beyond his jovial nature and uplifting personality, Brad found immense joy in simple pleasures. Tending to his beloved goats brought him a sense of tranquility and allowed him to connect with nature's beauty. In addition, there was something about mowing the lawn that brought satisfaction to Brad's soul; he often reflected with humor that it seemed as if all he ever did was mow the lawn.

Brad's eagerness to love and be loved knew no bounds. His proudest accomplishment resided in the fact that he loved everybody, and everybody loved him in equal measure. The impact he had on the lives of those around him cannot be overstated. Brad's genuine care for others gifted him with countless cherished memories and meaningful connections.

Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Sonja Joiner; sons, Ryan and Devin Joiner, Tyler and Kristin Joiner, Chad and Macie Joiner; stepchildren, Stephen and Ashliegh Taylor, Andrew and Emily Taylor, Kaley and Seth Bryan; grandchildren, Adalyn, Jace, Josie, Abygail, Levi, Adalyn, Lily and Liam; brother, Jeff and Jeanne Joiner; mother-in-law, Janice Vaillencourt; sister-in-law, Nancy Joiner, Suzanne and Dan Knight, Sarita Stuart; brother-in-law, James and Susan Vaillencourt .  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Greg Joiner

Tragically, Brad's life was cut short due to an unforeseen automobile accident. The world has undoubtedly lost a remarkable soul, leaving a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his untimely departure, let us carry forward the lessons he taught us: to live life boldly, cherish every laugh, hold tight to our faith, and love unconditionally.

A Funeral Service honoring Brad's memory will be held on February 13, 2024, at Believer's Baptist Church in Emory, Texas. Starting at 2:00 PM, friends and family are invited to gather together to celebrate Brad's remarkable life. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation held on February 12, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilson - Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory. Following the service on February 13, there will be an interment ceremony commencing at 3:00 PM at the Sand Flat cemetery in Grand Saline, Texas.

Brad leaves behind a legacy of laughter and unconditional love that will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. In our hearts and memories, he shall forever remain a beacon of light and love. May his boisterous laughter continue to echo within us as we navigate this world without his physical presence.
