Brad A. Ritscher, age 62, of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at his home.
Brad was born on March 30, 1963 in Taylorville, IL to David Mauer and Doris Joan (Mehl) Ritscher. He married Mary Jane Hageman on June 8, 1984 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane; his mother, Joan Ritscher of Sun City, AZ; his children, Christopher (Sarah) Ritscher of Chillicothe, IL, Matthew (Heather) Ritscher of Clarksville, TN and Elizabeth Summers of Chillicothe, IL; eight grandchildren; his siblings, Greg Ritscher of Sun City, AZ, Cathy McKinney of Sun City, AZ, and Brian (Stephanie) Ritscher of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and his aunts and uncles.
Brad was a hard worker who enjoyed time with family, especially playing card games; and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was working in shipping for Shamrock Plastics in Alta, IL for about 30 years. Prior to that he worked and later managed Nyman's grocery in Creve Coeur.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
