Memories of Uncle Brad: 1970s - him waking up late on the weekend (probably after playing a late show) appearing in Mom Mom's kitchen in his silk paisley robe to make a Chef Boyardee pizza; 1970s and 80s - when I was in middle school, him cutting my long curly hair into a kind of Dorothy Hamill-type bob that I could never maintain, and then his efforts over the next 10 years to help me reconcile with those curls (still fighting the battle, Uncle Brad!); 1970s and 80s - late night visits to our house on Christmas eve, and him introducing my folks to sake with questionable results (!); 2011 - his heartfelt and wise advice after the death of my mom. A true brother to my dad. These prompts ask us to recall a time when Uncle Brad made us smile. The question is: when did he not? A person who lived life dialed up to 11. A free, kind, and open spirit. Missed already. -- Sandy
