Bradley Adam Scott Wylie, known affectionately as Adam to his friends and family, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in
Indianapolis, IN, at the age of 33. Born on November 17, 1992, in
Bloomington, IN, Adam was a vibrant soul whose passion for life was evident in everything he did.
Adam was the beloved son of Steven Wylie and Cindy Banks and step-father, "JB", and a cherished brother to Ebonee and Ayla. He was a treasured grandson to Jo Ellen Wylie and Barry Ford. His extended family included his loving aunts Tonya Ford and Susan Brantlinger, his uncle Maurice Stepp, and close relationship with his uncles, Dave Sowder and Rob Sowder. (Rob proceeded Adam in death in 2015) and his Aunt Tina (Sowder) Hanners, and his cousins Zachery Harris, Maurice Stepp, Jr., Angelica Stepp, Dominique Stepp, and Ericka Ford. Adam also held a special place in the hearts of his uncle-in-law, Anthony, and his adored nephews, Jay, Grayson, Bradley, Teigan, Miles, and Maurice. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he left behind a legacy of love that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Adam's life was marked by his creative spirit and his love for music. Under the rap moniker "Wyliedakid", he found joy in making music with his band mates in BNA (Brothers Never Alone) and writing his own solo pieces. His talents extended beyond the stage as he was an exceptional athlete, particularly in baseball, basketball and football where he was often the fastest player on the team. His love for sports was deep-rooted, as he was an avid fan of Indiana University, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers. His job in the service industry in Indianapolis allowed him to meet some of his favorite athletes, which was a source of great excitement for him. Adam's hobbies were as diverse as his interests. He had a flair for thrifting, a passion he shared with his mother and sisters sharing his finds on facetime with them. His love for nature led him to explore the vast landscapes of the United States, and his compassion for animals and social justice issues was evident in his support for movements like Black Lives Matter. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Adam brought laughter and joy to his family, friends, and even strangers he encountered. He had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel loved and valued. His philosophical conversations about life, art, books, and good food were as enriching as they were entertaining.
Adam's departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved him. His spirit, characterized by his generosity and infectious laughter, will continue to inspire us. As we remember Adam, we take solace in knowing that he lived his life with purpose and touched so many with his kindness and warmth. Adam, "You're a Star!" Your light will continue to shine in the memories we hold dear. Your family and friends will love you forever and always. Your legacy of love, laughter, and passion for life will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Adam.
