Brandon M. Border, age 26, of St. Louis, MI died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, MI with Rev. Thai Nguyen officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 2-8 pm with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 with a rosary prayed at 6:30 pm at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel, St. Louis, MI. Brandon was born in Carson City, Michigan on June 5, 1985, the son of Douglas A. and Lisa A. (Marr) Border. Brandon spent most of his time working on vehicles, including detailing. He liked fishing, hunting and kayaking, and he loved spending time at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Brandon especially enjoyed being with family and friends and he loved to make people laugh and smile. He was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI. He is survived by his father Douglas and Rachelle Border of Remus, MI, sister Emma Border of Altus, OK, brother Brayden Border of Remus, MI, sister Elizabeth Hill of Carson City, MI, grandparents; Richard and Ernestine Border and James Marr of St. Louis, MI and Rita Redman of Houghton Lake, MI, aunts and uncles; Mike and Cindy Border and Brian and Bobbi Marr of St. Louis, MI, Maura and Dave Davis of North Carolina, Sheryl Faucett of Grand Rapids, MI, Sally Border of South Carolina, Richard and Sharon Border of Texas, Steven Border of Lansing, MI, Judy and Herb Wybenga of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Tammy and Barry Barnes of Cotapoxi, Colorado, special cousins, Dylan and Taylor Marr and Megan and Madeline Smith. Brandon was preceded in death by his mother Lisa Hill and grandmother Phyllis Marr. Memorials may be made to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
