On September 13, 2023, Brandon Burnham, 45, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away in his sleep at his residence.
Mr. Burnham was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Gladys Burnham. Brandon is survived by his son, Cory A. Burnham; mother, Debbie Burnham Greer (James); brother, Dylan Hudson (Kristen); nephews, Ledger and Cullen and his life partner and best friend, Allison Bartsch. Greg Miles, Marisha Thurman Fordham, and Buddy Rivet were also special people in his life.
Brandon had long been a member of the entertainment production community in Shreveport, working with some of the biggest names in the music business. He loved the shower of light and sound from a great big rock-n-roll show. He was privileged to meet and know two of his music heroes, James Burton and Charlie Daniels.
During the pandemic he took the opportunity to take a new path, starting his own business in 2020. He successfully built his business and was prospering with its progress. His family and friends were assured of great things to come.
Brandon was a thoroughly decent human being in a world hard pressed to find a few. He took time and effort to help those he knew needed a helping hand. He had a consummate work ethic and took pride in his work. He loved music, all genres from classic country to rap. Brandon was an excellent pit master and cooked a mean pot of gumbo. He loved his son, Cory, more than anything; his dogs, Toby and Buster; his family and friends. Any time spent with them, Brandon considered time well spent.
Brandon was unwavering in his Christian faith. He loved God with all his heart and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior as a teenager. There are some rare men that make the world a better place simply by being. Brandon Burnham was one of those men, and with his leaving, we are all diminished.
