Brandon David Zaner was tragically taken from his family in a random act of violence on December 21, 2024.
From the time he was small, Brandon was bright and energetic; his smile could light the room, the warmth of his personality could draw you in and make you feel loved and cared for. Brandon had a special gift, a charisma, a deep love for others, and a generous heart. He had a great sense of humor, and an enthusiasm for life that was contagious. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family, and his kids were the light of his life. He also enjoyed cooking and camping at Lake Michigan.
Brandon was a loving father to Lincoln (age 12) and McKinley (age 8) and a treasured son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Brandon is survived by his mother, Donna, his brothers: Steve (Jennifer), Lenny (Jenny), Ryan (Janet), Justin and Jordan; his former wife Amanda (Brad) and their children Lincoln and McKinley, and a loving extended family. Waiting for him in heaven is his father, David and his grandparents.
With all the great gifts that he had, Brandon also had struggles that weighed him down and threatened to consume him. But by God's Grace, Brandon never lost his faith in Jesus. And we are comforted, knowing that because of his faith, Brandon is now in the arms of Jesus.
Visitation will be 2-7pm on Thursday, December 26, with funeral service at 7pm at Hauss Modetz in Macomb.
