Brandy Dawn Harris Whitman

Brandy Dawn Harris Whitman, 44, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1981 in Durham, North Carolina to Donnie and Margaret Harris.

Mrs. Whitman enjoyed attending Pleasant Plains Baptist Church with her parents. The deep love her parents gave her, she continued that love on to her children and then her grandchildren. Brandy deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to them coming over with such excitement. Together they enjoyed going into the woods and looking for trinkets to keep. It was not uncommon to catch her, and the kids play wrestling on the ground.

Brandy also enjoyed playing softball, fishing at the lake or pond and drawing. Most of all she enjoyed her family. Mrs. Whitman will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend who with her BIG HEART impacted so many lives. Brandy will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.

Mrs. Whitman is survived by her parents, Donnie and Margaret Harris; husband, Brad Whitman; daughters, Destiny Bryant and Gabriella Whitman; brothers, Christopher Wayne Harris (Beverly) and Donald Lee Harris (Sonya); sister, Tracy Harris; grandchildren, Sora Martin and Axton Martin and numerous other loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
