Braxton Smith, 24, passed away on January 27, 2026. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Pioneer Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.

Braxton was born on September 25, 2001, in Mineral Wells to Angel and Alan Smith, alongside his twin brother, Brayden. He grew up surrounded by Brayden, his older brother, Jordan, and his younger sister, Ashton, who meant the world to him. Braxton was loyal and kind, quiet by nature, and known for his signature curly hair and his warm, unforgettable smile. A 2020 graduate of Graham High School, he worked at Walmart in Graham as a stocker.

He loved his support cat, Latte, the most. Latte was more than a pet—he was his companion, comfort, and constant friend. Braxton loved spending time with his friends, going to the movies, gaming, listening to music, reading, finding peace in nature and a member of the LGBTQ+.

He is survived by his parents, Angel and Alan Smith of Graham; sister, Ashton Smith of Graham; brother, Jordan Smith and wife Mathile of Lakewood, Colorado; twin brother, Brayden Smith and wife Jatey of Graham; grandmothers, Carol Smith of Graham and Carolyn Partin of Breckenridge; grandfather, Jimmy Adams of Breckenridge; nephews, Weston Smith and Thomas Smith; niece, Everly Smith, all of Graham; and a soon-to-be nephew, Beckham Smith of Lakewood, Colorado.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Diane and Jeff McCoy of St. Charles, Missouri; Susan Smith of Graham, Texas; Margaret and Ricky Rankin of Throckmorton; Tammie Burns and Todd Ward of Breckenridge; Lee and Ken Stevens of Lakeside; Mary and Joey Boland of Albany; Pattie and Matt Parkhill of Glen Rose; Zach and Mikaela Sanders of Glen Rose; and Wes Sanders of Breckenridge, along with numerous cousins.

Braxton was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chester Smith.

He will be remembered for his quiet warmth, the kindness he shared with those around him, and the love he gave in his own gentle way.

In honor of Braxton’s life, the family asks that gifts be made in his memory to a charity supporting LGBTQ+ youth and suicide prevention, such as The Trevor Project, (https://www.thetrevorproject.org) or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (https://afsp.org).
