Breena Donley Weeks

Breena Jannette Aleece Donley Weeks, 33, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Breena was born on October 9, 1992 in Columbus, Ohio to Bob Donley and Dawna Johnson. She was the little sister to her two brothers, Richie and Stevie Donley. Growing up, she loved to play "teacher" with her family, though they never knew if Miss Jannette (the nice teacher) or Miss Aleece (the mean teacher) would be the one teaching them that day.

She was a 2011 graduate of Westfall High School. After graduation, she worked at restaurants around Columbus and tended bar each summer at Zoombezi Bay. Following in the footsteps of her Aunt Doris, she also worked as a travel agent at AAA.

In 2019, she married Jake Weeks, and the two moved to Memphis to pursue new career opportunities. While there, Breena quickly made many new friends and created her own Memphis family. She most recently worked at the Hilton DoubleTree's King and Union Bar & Grocery and Rio Lobo Cantina in Germantown.

Breena put her whole heart into everything she loved. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with friends and family. She loved music and was the biggest fan of Daughtry and Hinder, whom she met in person and saw in concert many MANY times. She collected all things Mulan and sloths. Her favorite foods were Chipotle and her mom's Texas sheet cake and chip dip.

Nothing was more important to Breena than her family. She is survived by her mother, Dawna, brothers, Rich (Crystal) and Steve (Jessica), as well as her beloved nephews, Christopher, Gideon and Diedrich. Also surviving is Jake Weeks, Uncle Tony, Uncle Dean and Aunt Ginny, and many cousins, including special cousin and friend, Jess Johnson.

Everyone who met Breena knew what an amazing friend she was. She will always be in the memories of both her Ohio and Tennessee friends, who became her family too. Of course, we can't forget her two fur babies, Echo and Ripleigh.

Breena is preceded in death by her father, Bob, Grandma Dot, Aunt Doris, and good friend, Dom.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Breena at a later date in Ohio.
