Brenda Carol Beale, 82, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born in Matoaca, Virginia on September 3, 1942.
Brenda worked for Southside Medical Center for over 20 years as a dedicated cardiovascular technician. In her free time, she had a deep love for flower gardening and took great pride in caring for her plants. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Brenda was also an avid sports fan, especially when it came to UVA’s teams.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Billy” R. Beale. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly B. Davis and husband, Steven, and Rhonda B. Blake and husband, Timothy; five grandchildren, Matthew S. Acree (Beca), Michelle K. Fox and husband, Bryan, Alyssa J. Blake, Michael C. Davis (Chelsey), and Meredith E. Blake; four great-grandchildren, Aria D. Acree, Elijah D. Fox, Adalynn R. Davis, and Elleana A. Fox; and many other extended family members.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kay Freeman, for all of the love and support she has given to Brenda through the years.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. for a graveside service in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MCV Foundation in honor of Brenda, in gratitude for the exceptional care she received in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at VCU Health. Please make checks payable to the MCV Foundation, note Brenda’s name on the memo line, and include a brief note with your donation intentions and to ensure proper acknowledgment to their Cardiac ICU. Donations may be mailed to Box 843042, Richmond, VA 23284-3042.
