Brenda L. Brown was born April 30, 1942 in Harrisonburg, VA to Warren F and Elizabeth Lam. She passed peacefully in her home on April 26, 2024.

Brenda’s family relocated to Alexandria, VA where she grew up and spent more than 40 years. She graduated with the class of 1960 from Groveton High School. After graduation she went to work for Drug Fair, as a secretary and worked her way up to Office Manager.

After the company was sold to Sherwin Williams, she met her beloved husband, Norman Brown in 1987. Together they relocated to Old New Castle, DE and she went to work for Brosius Eliason Co and Blenheim Homes. She retired in 2004, with Norman they again relocated to Pinehurst, NC to be near the beach and ocean.

She was preceded by her dear husband, Norman.

She is survived by her sister, Faye (Wayne) Myers of Calabash, NC and nephew, Jess (Natalie) Shelton of Appling, GA. She will be forever missed by her bonus family; children, Teresa (Herman) Gomez, Sandra (James) Kruger, Russell (Janice) Tabor. She was the beloved bonus grandmother to Ashley (Cody ) Awe, Courtney (Casey) Pumariega, Jennifer (David) Lopez, Christopher (Katie) Gomez, Joseph (Olivia) Gomez and Rebecca Gomez and great-grandmother of Beckham Pumariega, Ava Lee Gomez, Christopher H. Gomez and Benjamin Gomez.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29th at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel 3015 Okeechobee Rd Ft. Pierce, FL 34947 from 5pm to 7pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm.


An inurnment will be held at a later time.
