Brenda Brown Obituary
She was born in Stanford, Kentucky on October 2, 1948; daughter of the late Robert L. and Wanda (Bullock) Henderson. She was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed word searches, adult coloring, watching hummingbirds, and attending the Senior Citizen functions with her husband. Most of all she enjoyed singing at church, and playing both the Piano and the Trumpet.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jonas W. "Jake" Brown, III whom she married on September 9, 1972; a sister, Vallorie Henderson; brother-in-law, Donald E. Brown; sister-in-law, Judy & (Joe) Carter; nieces and nephews, Sarah Alsup Babb, Lee Ann Alsup, Jackson Carter, Justin Carter, and Jesse Carter; Brenda was a great aunt to, Jonas Carter, Aubrey Carter, Madison Carter, Jasper Carter, Charlie Babb, and Lucas Babb; cousins, Linda & Ronnie Adams, Jerry Makin, Charles Makin, Beverly Abney, Barbara Williams, Kathy Isaacs, Ralph Cummins, and Mark Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Cromer officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
