Brenda Irene Bult, 60, of Iowa passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 in the comfort of her home.
Brenda was born in Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Iowa. She was a 1988 graduate of Iowa High School.
Brenda was a dedicated participant in the CARC program, where she enjoyed working, spending time with her friends, and expressing her creativity through crafts.
She was also a former member of the Special Olympics team and looked forward to practices and competitions each year. She loved playing BINGO and trying her luck with scratch-offs. She also loved collecting pencils and CDs of country music, with Reba McEntire being her all-time favorite. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and daily visits from her furry friend, Chloe.
Brenda’s life was a beautiful example of love without limits, her joyful spirit, smile and hugs will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Betty Butts Bult; two brothers, Darrell Ray Bult (Darlene) and Robert Dale Bult (Rachel), all of Iowa; nephews and nieces, Stephen Michael Bult (Jamie), Jessica Lynn Guillory (Kyle), Justin Ray Bult, John Robert Bult (Amy) and Ashley Nicole Galley (Chris); eleven great nieces and nephews and many great-great nephews. She also leaves her furry friend, Chloe.
She was preceded in death by father, Raymond Owen Bult and brother, Kevin Allen Bult.
The family of Miss Bult wish to extend heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, April, Audrey and Jamie as well as Brighton Bridge hospice for the care and kindness shown to Brenda.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Reverend Glynn Tyson will officiate. Interment services will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Monday will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume Tuesday from 11:00 until 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
