Brenda Carroll Obituary

Brenda Carroll

February 21, 1945 - September 30, 2025

Frankfort, Kentucky - Frankfort - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Louise Harrod Carroll, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dedicated community member, who died peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born in Frankfort on February 21, 1945, Brenda was the daughter of the late Charles Samuel Harrod and Mary Elizabeth Curry Harrod.

She cultivated a spirit of generosity and compassion from a young age, a trait that defined her life's purpose.

Brenda dedicated over 20 years of her professional life as an accounting clerk at Art's Electric, where her meticulous work was greatly valued. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Capital City Christian Church, finding joy and community within her congregation. Brenda's countless hours preparing meals for many special outreach programs was a great passion of hers, demonstrating her profound commitment to serving others.

A true matriarch, Brenda was the cornerstone of her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Carroll, with whom she built a beautiful life. She was the loving mother to her sons, Steve Carroll (Tracy) and Dr. Tim Carroll (Donna). Her joy extended to her cherished grandchildren: Dr. Jacob Pennington (Laura), Brett Pennington, Dr.

Alexandra Carroll, Lindsey Carroll, Sawyer Carroll, Taylor Carroll,

Hunter Carroll, and Calee Carroll. She was also the proud

great-grandmother of Luke Pennington and Riley Pennington, all of whom brought immense happiness into her life.

Brenda also leaves behind her brother, Charles V. Harrod (Barbara); her sisters, Anne Stratton, Mary Kitts, and Sena Kelley (Tim); and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss her warm presence and unwavering love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Capital City Christian Church on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Jon Sutphin and Rev. Vern Huber officiating. A visitation will precede the service at Capital City Christian Church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Stand Up to Cancer or Bluegrass Hospice Care, continuing her spirit of giving and care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be shared via the online guestbook at www.harrodbrothers.com.
