Brenda Kay Carter, age 53, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her residence.

Brenda was born July 9, 1971 in Appling County to the late Benjamin “Ben” Weaver and the late Dorothy Carter Weaver. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was the Office Manager at G & S Auto Sales. In addition to her parent, Brenda was preceded in death by her special uncle and aunt, Edward and Rosa Mae Cowart.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory H. Carter of Baxley; daughters, Dorothy Alexis Carter, & fiancé, Hunter Hinson of Homerville and Allie Grace Carter of Baxley; aunt, Evelyn Bullard of Baxley; and her caregivers, Beth Hunter, Tina Smith, Susie Hunter, Marla Tomberlin, Marilyn Bass, Nicole Deal, Linda Lynch, Jane Aycock; and her faithful companion, Sawyer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. John Daughtry, Rev. Charles Carter, and Rev. Justin McLellan officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Porkey Smith, Scotty Weaver, Chuckie Vann, Jesse Weaver, Robert Eunice and Steve Crosby.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of G & S Auto Sales, Hannah Carpenter, Kenrick Newkirk, Tammy Rowell, Wilbur Miles, Brooks Stone, Woody Folsom, Keven Carter, Gary & Sandy Thomas, and Mike Redwine.

A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
