Brenda Davis Obituary

Brenda Lee Huff was born on December 9, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, to Helen and Willie Huff. Growing up in both Coney Island and Bedford-Stuyvesant shaped her lifelong love for dance, music, and theatre. She and her best friend, Mary Hamilton, spent countless evenings at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, enjoying performances by some of the greatest entertainers of the era. Brenda later met the love of her life, Clarence Davis, at her local butcher shop. They married and welcomed their daughter, Donna Davis. Brenda also lovingly embraced her bonus children - Rochelle and Vernon Davis, the late Sharon Davis, and Randa Henry. She began her career on Wall Street before joining Clarence to build their thriving family real estate business, specializing in helping New Yorkers purchase homes in Florida. This experience sparked her love for Florida, where she would eventually settle. After Clarence's passing in 2006, Brenda began a new chapter in the Solivita community. She quickly became known for her joyful spirit, joining many clubs such as The Widowers Club, The Oh Scrapers, and The Girlfriends Club, and others. Her hobbies included Zumba, belly dancing, and acting in major Solivita productions. Her infectious laugh and warm presence touched everyone she met. Even after losing vision in one eye due to a cataract surgery complication, Brenda continued to travel, stay active, and fill her days with laughter and connection. She spent her final days exactly as she always had - enjoying good food, laughing, and spending time with people she loved.

Brenda leaves behind her children Donna Davis, Torri Bradley, Rochelle Davis, Vernon Davis, Renee Acosta, Cheryl Johnson, Randa Jenkins & Gary Jenkins, and Wanda Veney; her in-laws Evelyn Davis, Deborah Deshong, and Darryl Deshong; her grandchildren Gabriel Davis, Karima Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Solomon Leach, Janine Davis, Lauren Jenkins, Morgan Jenkins, Jordan Jenkins, Asha Corbin, Cuvon Wilson, and Storm Parrish; and her great-grandchildren Onyx Adams, Zaelin McArthur, Davre Thomas, and Devin Thomas. She had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins...Brenda will be missed by her partner Jim Coursey, and many friends, who she loved and became her family. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Noon at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home 3175 Pleasant Hill Road, Kissimmee, Florida. Interment will follow in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 10 AM to Noon at the funeral home. Repast will follow the interment at 1474 Rolling Fairway Dr, Champions Gate, FL 33896 (Use Champions Gate complex entrance on Highway 27).
