Brenda "Joyce" Ford born November 3, 1946 in Hartford, TN passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Joyce bravely battled Alzheimer's disease for many years. Joyce was a firm believer in the Gospel and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a quick-witted kind soul that loved being with her family more than anything. She was a very nurturing mother and loved her grandchildren more than anything. Her professional life began shortly after attending Business College in Morristown. She then began working at Sonoco Products where she retired after 46 years.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Burnett and Grace (Black) Ford.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Windell Roe Ford, sons "Windell "Barry" (Jamie) Ford, Bryan Keith Ford, Brent Eric (Sherri) Ford, siblings Marilyn Bacon, Van (Frances) Ford, and Roger Ford, grandchildren Haylee (Jake) Bishop, Kailea Mckeehan, Olivia (Hudson) Hearn, Austin McKeehan, Madee Denton, Lauren Ford, Brady Ford, Elsie Ford, Parker Ford, Brody Ford, and Eli Ford, great-grandchildren Callie Bishop and Jackson Bishop, nieces Brandi Bacon and Ila Grace Norris, and special friend and caregiver Trish Cody.
We would like to offer our thanks to the nurses and staff at Amedysis Hospice.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer's of TN in care of Alexa Austin, 363 E. Main St, Newport, TN 37821.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm on Sunday in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Clint Hurley officiating.
