Brenda "Fred" Gee, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 following a period of declining health.
Born November 21, 1945, Brenda was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. She worked at Ingles in Dawsonville for many years and also cleaned houses for many families in the community. Her greatest joy in life was caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Venitta Pruett, and siblings, J.H. Pruett, Gail Walker, and Doris Christine Pruett.
Surviving are her children, Jeff Gee (Becky), Hope George; grandchildren, Misty Harbin, Wesley Davis (Sierra), Brittany Hornsby (Matt), Earl Williams, Lamar Gee, Karen Gee; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Pruett (Linda), Walter Pruett (Shelby); sisters, Sharon Pruett, Faye Ritchie (Guy); nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Rev. Tim Hubbard and Rev. Glenn Byrd will officiate. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 21 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
