Brenda Louise (Worthy) Gutshall, 64, Mount Union, was called home to our Heavenly Father on March 27, 2026, at UPMC Altoona. In her final moments, she was surrounded by prayer from loved ones and the presence of her family. Born July 11, 1961, daughter of the late Sherman “Dick” and Hazel (Hurrell) Worthy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son, Nick Morder; brother, Terry Worthy; nephew Ricky Worthy; niece, Teresa (Stein) Stewart; and brother-in-law Wayne “Poppy” Kelsey. She is survived by sons; David Gutshall II and wife Brenda, Greg Gutshall; grandchildren Kylie White and husband Josh, David Gutshall III and wife Shayla, Brianna Gutshall, Kayleigh Morder; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ava, Hazel, Norah, and Phoebe; sisters, Gloria “Jeannie” Stein and husband Harry, Darlene Worthy Waite and husband Leonard, Connie Worthy Kelsey, Judy Worthy Morgan and husband Warren; brother, Richard Worthy and wife Rosalie, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Brenda was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School class of 1979. Brenda was Protestant in faith. She was employed for many years at Riverside and Weis Markets of Mount Union. She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, along with her precious dog, Mayzee. She also enjoyed her monthly outings with her Weis store buddies. Brenda’s favorite pastimes were word games and puzzles on her computer, planting flowers, and crazy times with her family. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 with a service at 7:00 in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Barrett, officiant. Burial Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Haven Rest Cemetery, Shirleysburg. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Brenda to the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, "Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™."
