Brenda L. Lamb

Brenda Lou Lamb, age 78 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026. She was born May 11, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. The daughter of the late John and Hattie (Bryant) Swangim.

Brenda gave her life to the Lord at the age of 5 and devoted herself to serving Him as a dedicated Pastor's wife in the Church of God for over 50 years. After marrying the love of her life at the age of 18, she walked alongside her husband for decades, planting 3 churches and leading countless souls to Christ. Her pride and joy was her family and instilling her faith and love for Jesus into each and every niece, nephew, child, and grandchild. Her legacy lives on through everyone she impacted through Ministry and Prayer.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Rev. John D. Lamb; grandson, Jonathan Perley; siblings, Arvil Swangim, Lavena Swangim, Boyd Swangim, Lila (John) Fidler, Betty Swangim, Helen Swangim; as well as numerous other beloved family members.

She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Randy) Lamb-Dill and Lisa (Yimmi) Orellana; grandchildren, Zeb (Teresa) Dill, McKenzie (Ryan) Stewart, and Brendalyn (Roberto) Raymundo; great grandchildren, Carrington, Waylon, Eliana, Ezekiel, and Anaila; brother, Earl Swangim; sister-in-law, JoAnn Swangim; cousins, Lois and Sissy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 9:30am-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with burial to follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
