Brenda was born July 19, 1959, in Sulphur, Louisiana and passed away April 21, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 65. She attended Laurel Hill Baptist Church and lived in the Hineston area most of her life where she enjoyed using her artistic gifts. Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Jammie Maricle; parents, Delbert Leo Hughes & Irene Josephine Affemon Hughes; sister, Jeannie Hughes; and nephew, Emmitt Tadlock. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Joey Maricle and wife Audrey of Boyce, LA; grandchildren, Jammie Maricle Jr. of Rosepine, LA; Tiffany Brister (Chandler) of Boyce; Breeanna Lacaze (Chris) of DeRidder, LA; and C.J. Hayes (Jaime) of Pennsylvania; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Tony Hughes (Ilene) of Hineston, LA; nieces and nephews, Melissa Tadlock (Ronnie), Amy Thacker (Mike) all of Lacamp, LA and Randy Hughes (Stormy) and Joesph Hughes (Abby) all of Hineston, LA; great-nieces and nephews, Mylee Tadlock, Jolie Bennett, Emma Windsor, Ariana Curry, Bryson Tadlock, Mikey Thacker, and Zachary Windsor; and a host of extended family members and friends.
