She is survived by her husband, Ernie Melcher, whom she was married to for 60 years; her two sons, Steven and David, both living in Idaho; three siblings, Danny Beggs living in Utah, Myra Bauer living in Yuma, and Vickie Ulibarri living in Safford, AZ. Brenda has four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Brenda and Ernie moved to Arizona in 1971 and lived in many different parts of the state until moving to Yuma in 1995. She enjoyed raising her boys and began working in retail sales in 1983, finishing her career as a HR Specialist, retiring in 2006. She spent her remaining time cooking, baking, and enjoying her friends and her life. She was a woman of faith and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and now rests in peace.
There will be no formal services per Brenda's wishes.
