RICH SQUARE, NC - Brenda June Sherman Moffitt, age 74, formerly of New York, passed peacefully on October 30, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Brenda was born on August 11, 1951, in Cortland, New York, to Edward Sherman and Loretta Manley Sherman.
Brenda dedicated much of her career to serving as an administrative assistant, where her diligence and strong work ethic were held in high regard by colleagues and friends alike. Her presence brought warmth and kindness to those privileged to know her.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Brenda is remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her passion for animals. Throughout her life, she offered shelter and care through her work in animal rehabilitation and rescue, exemplifying her compassion and dedication to those in need. Brenda's legacy of strength and unconditional love will continue to inspire her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and remembered as the strongest woman to walk this earth.
