Brenda Phifer

1955 - 2025

Brenda was born on April 19, 1955, in Greensboro, NC, to the late Ila Gordon Marion and John Paul Marion. She graduated from Ben L. Smith High School and went on to have a fulfilling career in hospitality at multiple facilities, most notably at Friends Home West, for over thirty years. On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Jesus welcomed Brenda home. She peacefully received her "Angel Wings" at the Guilford Health Care Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Neal Phifer (June 2022) and two of her siblings: Deborah Maness (December 2020), John Paul Marion, Jr (November 2020).

Left to cherish her legacy are three siblings all of Greensboro: Bertha Ellis (Melvin), Mary Ealey (Clarence), and Tanya Marion; and seven nieces and nephews: Brandon Marion, Corey Maness, Yasmine Williams (Charles), Sesile Ellis, Jonathon Marion, April Ealey, and Jon-Eric Marion, all of Greensboro. She will be profoundly missed by a wide circle of extended family members and life-long friends.
