Brenda Polreis

Brenda Polreis, 67, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 17, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel with a 6:30 PM prayer service.
Brenda Kay Polreis was born on May 15, 1958, to Ivan and Mary (Sell) Schrader in Gregory, SD. She attended elementary and high school in Tripp, SD. Brenda then attended Nettelton College in Sioux Falls. Brenda was a Mary Kay beauty consultant for more than 35 years. She also worked at JCPenney for 17 years.
Brenda married Leroy Polreis on November 19, 1977, in Parkston, SD. Together they had one son, Kristopher. She enjoyed many years of watching Kris and her grandsons play the sports they love.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Leroy; son, Kristopher (Renee) Polreis; grandsons, Gavin and Graeme; mother, Mary Schrader; sister, Sandra Schrader of Amour, SD; brothers, Roger (Angie) Schrader of Sioux Falls, SD, and Douglas (Patty) Schrader of Missouri Valley, IA; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Schrader, and brother, Kelly Schrader.
