Brenda Joyce Rexroad 76, of Cleveland Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025. Brenda was born August 18th, 1948, in Ward, West Virginia to the late Velva Lottie Faye and Howard Martin.
Brenda married the late Dennis Rexroad on September 20th, 1969, and they resided in Cedar Grove, West Virginia during their marriage. From their union one son was born.
Brenda professed her life as a Christian at an early age. She loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. Brenda was part of a singing group, The Hugheston Trio with members of the group including Vera Brown and BJ Landers. They traveled to local churches, revivals, and conventions.
After the death of her husband Brenda moved to Cleveland Tennessee where she has resided with her sister Dreama for thirty-one years. Brenda attended and was a member of Zion Assembly Church of God. She found joy in singing, reading her bible and studying her Sunday School lessons.
Brenda loved spending time with family. She had an open heart, always giving more than she received, whether it be family or friends. Brenda lived a life deeply rooted in faith, grace, compassion, leaving a Legacy of Love.
Brenda was proceeded in death by husband Dennis Rexroad; parents Velva Lottie Faye and Howard Martin; brother Verlon (Pete) Martin, sister Betty June Holstein.
Brenda is survived by son Denny (Melissa) Rexroad; Granddaughters Whitney (Michael) Chitwood; Katie (Ethan) Lawson; Macy (Christian) Luithle; Mackenzie Rexroad; sister Dreama Lane. A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Brenda was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild, Everleigh June Luithle, born on March 17, 2025.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Zion Assembly Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Nathan Bonilla and Presiding Bishop Wade Phillips officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, West Virginia on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at 3:00 pm with Pastor Josiah Lane and Robb Lane officiating.
