Our beloved Brenda Lee Smith-Fowler

was born on Sept 14th, 1949 in Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Joseph Rosier and Mildred G Gilbert. Soon after her birth, her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio.


Brenda Lee Smith-Fowler worked in the medical field at The Ohio State University Hospital. She was an exemplary employee who retired after 25 years of service. Brenda Loved the Lord and dedicated herself to serving him. She was a faithful member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, where she served in the Children's Ministry, as well as the Food Pantry.


In her spare time, she loved talking on the phone with her Grandchildren, playing cards, sitting on the porch catching up with friends and listening to Higher Ground Church service broadcasts, and gospel music. Brenda had a heart of gold, and shared that heart with everyone she met.


Blessed with 75yrs of life, Brenda Smith Fowler went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday April 19th, 2025. She was surrounded by her family that she loved dearly, and that loved her dearly, as she transitioned into the arms of God. She will be deeply missed by all.


Those she left to celebrate her legacy, and cherish her memory include Daughters Kennetta Smith, Tonya Smith, Charmaine Bryd and Tijauna Smith. Son Norman (Tyree) Smith. Stepchildren Denise Roberts, Dwayne Fowler and Shawn Folwer. Adopted Daughter Mary Carmicheal. 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 10 Adopted Grandchildren. Sister Deborah Franklin and Brother Stephen (Rhonda) Franklin. Special Friend Wanda Crawford, Paula Box and Kenneth Wright.



She is Preceded in death by Husband Micheal W Fowler, Parents Joseph Rosier and Mildred G Gilbert, Grandson Jermaine Smith, Stepson Micheal Hollaway and best friend Bobbi Martin.
