Brenda S. Whitten, age 74, passed away March 13, 2024, at her home in West Columbia. She was born on March 20, 1949, to William L. Chase and Ruby L. Bradley in Concord, NC.
Brenda is survived by her 3 children, Tereasa Smith (John), Charles Dinkins, Sr. (Robin), and Donald Chase (Carol); 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy and David Chase; sisters, Kathy Hanchett and Deborah Hall; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby D. Whitten; her son, Marshall Dinkins; great-grandchild, Rainney; and brother, Danny Chase.
A graveside service will be held at Celestial Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

I came across your Obituary, after trying to find you. I was told Andy and Marshall were my cousins , and my Uncle David was their father. I don´t know if that´s true,but I have so many wonderful memories of you visiting our home, and playing with the boys. I used to love sitting and talking to you. You always smiled so pretty,and had the softest voice and hands. you would brush my hair so gently. Sleep sound in Jesus sweet Angel, I will miss you, and think of you often with fondness.
