POESTENKILL –
Brent D. Allen, 59, of Poestenkill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital following a long illness.
The son of F. Jean Allen, Brent was born on April 3, 1963, in Malone, New York.
He has resided in Poestenkill nearly all his life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School and Hudson Valley Community College with an associate degree in Computers. Brent was self-employed in the computer industry for nearly 20 years.
Brent will be warmly remembered as an amazing person, who knew how to build websites (practically with his eyes closed) and working on computers. But most importantly, he was a great father to his two sons, a wonderful grandfather to three granddaughters, a beloved son and friend to all.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his life partner since 2008, Marie, his mother F. Jean Allen, his two sons: Joshua Reed Allen and Braedon Michael Allen. Brent was the cherished grandfather of Alana Grace Allen, Alexis Rose Allen, and Aubriella Raine Allen. He is also survived by his cousin Bryan (Nancy) Allen (who was like a brother) and one niece Samantha.
Brent was predeceased in death by his uncle Milton Allen.
The family has chosen to honor Brent's memory in a private way. Viewing and final goodbyes were held privately at Simple Choices, Inc. prior to cremation, his wish. A celebration of life will be celebrated by the family privately at a future date, with burial in Albany Rural Cemetery.
