Brent, I just heard this horrible news from family. I can't believe you're not here with us, I was a year behind you in school and I looked up to you, even more so as we grew older and I saw what a good solid man you had become. You were a friend to me and my family and Patagonia was truly enriched by your presence. Words can't express how sorry I am at your passing, I know if there's a Heaven you're there and telling jokes right now. Your work the the Patagonia Volunteer Fire Department was selfless and enriched the town, probably saving many lives. My heart hurts to think we will not meet again on this earth, but I hope your family knows what a great friend you were to so many and many people will miss you until it's our turn. Rest easy, friend, and may we meet again someday. From Mike du Toit, my family and so many others.

I'll always remember Brent as a good friend to my husband and to my boys. He was the "go to" guy for my boys when they needed help with their mechanical problems. He was the first one I looked for in the 4th of July parade. He's left a big empty spot in the heart of Patagonia.

My most sincere condolences to your family. You have a big job now to be an angel to all of them.
Don't superglue anyone to a fridge in heaven! Lol
