Brent Allen Daymude, age 53, of Lyons, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Greene County General Hospital. He was born in Linton, IN on May 30, 1972, the son of William "Bill" & Rebecca "Becky" (Bays) Daymude.
He was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School. He worked at Jackson Sawmill for several years then retired as a coal miner. After the coal mine he then took up farming at Halt Farms and took a lot of pride in farming. He enjoyed junking and collecting treasures, working on trucks, tinkering in the garage and spending time at his cabin, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Brent is survived by his loving daughter, Kailyn Sue Daymude; parents, Bill and Becky Daymude; sisters, Channon Lockhart, Stacy Daymude and Amber Schaffer; nieces and nephews, Makaley, DrewAnna, Corianne, William, Dylan, Amelya, Ava, Aunalie and Ayla; several great nieces and nephews as well as his good friends, Dennis and Rick.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Walton Funeral Service, Inc on Monday, December 1, 2025 with Rick Fisher officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.

I grew up a couple of doors down from Brent and am close friends with his sister. He was never anything but nice to me and my family. My thoughts are with his loved ones.
