I will cherish my last memory of you sitting at home in Yoncalla, on the porch playing your drums for Jessica and I. You were quite impressive! Thank you for loving my daughter and helping her through hard times. You were her favorite resident, as she was your favorite caregiver. You will always be missed and never forgotten! RIP "Kern".

I am deeply saddened about hearing about the passing of Bret. He was my very first love. I hope that you can remember me, Bonnie, the girl Bret met at the Hickory Post. I really loved everything about him! He was so much fun to be around, full of life, and a person who really enjoyed each moment of his life. He had so many friends whom he was close to, and was such an enthusiastic and talented drummer. I was just just telling my daughter about him two days ago. Bret and I dined and ditched at a very expensive restaurant in Santa Barbara, and got caught. The bill was over 300 dollars. I had my mother's credit card because I was on my way to college and I used it. I remember such good and joyous times with him. I remember his little brother, Susan and Mike. You welcomed me into your home and I will not forget it. I cannot stop crying, so I will finish this message by saying that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I can just picture him playing the drums up in heaven right now. Love, Bonnie
